Forget Messi, Ronaldo or even Saquon Barkley - the two most‑bet‑on athletes in the world right now are Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, according to new data from Entain.
The data is based on amount staked between 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2025, a year in which Melbourne was the only men’s singles Grand Slam final in 2025 that did not feature Jannik Sinner taking on Carlos Alcaraz.

Alcaraz-Sinner is an economy that consistently produces the highest betting volumes of any individual athletes in sport. When they face each other, those volumes surge far beyond a typical Grand Slam match. Many anticipated a lull in tennis’ popularity following the retirement of icons like Federer, Nadal and Serena Williams, but the emerging rivalry between Sinner and Alcaraz means we’re seeing younger fans flocking to the sport in record-breaking numbers.
